Welcome to the website for the Partnership for Large Election Jurisdictions (“PLEJ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We have created this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) for the users of our website (“you” or “your”) and to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy.

This Privacy Policy describes the information collected, used, and disclosed by PLEJ through our website, taketheplej.org, and any other PLEJ-operated site that links to the Terms (the “Site”).  While this Privacy Policy describes how we treat personal information we collect from the Site, please be aware that additional terms and conditions may apply to the use of the Site, including the Terms of Use, found here and which are incorporated herein by reference. 

BY USING THE SITE AND ANY WEBPAGES AND CONTENT THEREIN, YOU CONSENT TO THE COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION BY US IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS PRIVACY POLICY, AND YOUR CONTINUED USE INDICATES ACCEPTANCE OF ANY MODIFIED OR UPDATED TERMS.

  • to enforce or protect the terms of our services, rights, property, safety, or that of our users or third parties;
  • as part of due diligence for, or the consummation of, a business transaction; or
  • in accordance with consent you have provided, including, but not limited to receiving email updates and other correspondence from PLEJ.

The Site may provide links to other websites. When you choose to use a link to visit another website, you are then subject to the security and privacy policy of that website. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, accuracy, or reliability of the information on third-party websites. You access such links at your own risk. 9. Children Under the Age of 18

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 18 without parental consent, we will delete that information and otherwise comply with the requirements of any applicable law including the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe someone under the age of 18 has provided us with personal information, we ask that you contact us through the methods described below.

10. Business Change

In the event the PLEJ undergoes a transition to its business form, is made part of another business, or engages in other similar corporate transactions, your Personal Information will be disclosed and transferred to this new entity. Note that this Privacy Policy may then be amended in accordance with the new company’s business practices.

PLEJ reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time without notice to you, and PLEJ will post any changes to this Privacy Policy on the Site. We encourage you to review the Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.
